THE EFFECTS OF BEING A FOREIGN STUDENT

Some of SPM leavers tend to choose studying abroad to further their studies.They going to be a foreign student in those countries.Usually becoming a foreign student in order to study in another city can change student's life in many aspects.Being a foreign also make the students learn a lot of things,but at the beginning it can be somewhat difficult.Living in a city far away from home can bring many consequences and effects which almost always change the student's form of life.However,the purpose of this presentation is to discuss the three main effects of being a foreign student which is helping students to be independent,learning financial management, and learning the diversity of others local cultures,languages,and lifestyles.

The main effect and the one that affect the students most is the fact that they will not live with their parents and in their house.So,usually they have to learn how to live in harmony with others.They also will not enjoy the commodities at first.For instances,it was so good when your mother cooked for you and when classes finished,you returned to your room and made yourself completely comfortable.But becoming a foreign student implies that the students have to live in dormitory or that they will rent an apartment with some friends.However,of course sometimes ones cannot adapt with their new friends quickly.Furthermore,they also have to take care of dirty dishes,messy rooms,and cooking by themselves.This means they have to learn many new things like how to cook several dishes.In a few words,the impact of being a foreign student is the students have to learn how to be independent.

Another aftermath is that the students have to learn managing their finance.To find way around the city,the students have to know the main part of the city.If they have a car,it may be easier for them to explore the city.But what if they don't have any cars?Since then,they have to learn how to get around by walking,in buses,or with taxis.For this,they have to find out about bus routes or find out how much costs to use taxis or buses.This will force them to plan their time and finance better.Maybe they will have less available time along the day.They also have to manage their finance including transportation fares,foods and drinks,assignment costs,among a few.In short,they learn how to plan their activities in a better way.

Last but not least,there is yet another effect of being a foreign student which is the students can learn the diversity of others local cultures,languages,and lifestyles.A foreign student may find himself feeling somewhat lonely.Hence,it is important for them to be more open-minded,then,start meeting people and making friend.This will help them to know others cultures and lifestyles better.In this way,it will be much easier to get used as a foreign student.Besides, they won't have to be quiet all the time in classes because when they know others background,they can exactly adapt with them.Moreover,it is interesting when ones can exchange the knowledge of their cultures with some new friends.They also can share the differences tradition,customs,and languages with them.Briefly,with friends students will have a great time and learn a lot of things.

In a nutshell,going to another city to study is an experience that cannot be compared to any other experience.They can learn how to stand on their own two feet,cope with their finance, and meet a lot of people.In my opinion,it can be somewhat difficult to live without your parents but it makes you learn how to live your life better and how to appreciate what you have.Therefore,being a foreign student is GREAT! However,no matter where did you studies whether local or abroad it is just the same. The important things is your vision,your mission,and your goal are to achieve an excellent result and be the best student! Thankyou (=
